Yeah, it's my own quiz, so of course I aced that thing. Now... anyone else want to take it?

Took a look at the shelf above my desk and realised that I've got a serious time and aliens theme going on, among other things.

Note the blue-eyed man staring back at the camera from the bulletin board...
It's all relative... )

Edit: LOL, just noticed the "device" peeking out from behind the Gmail keyboard stickers in the catch all. Can anyone identify that?

It comes in handy when I'm trying to see back behind the computer, but the sound is a bit embarrassing.

I love my kids...

Looks like it was startled by the flash to boot!

Well, without giving much away, I'll just say that my forehead seriously smarts from the tremendously firm slap it received after I finally viewed the finale.

Don't think this is spoilerish, but still don't want to screw it up for anyone... )

I've got to get to bed so I can get up at the butt crack of dawn and head up the wagon train to New Mexico. And I think I've got plot bunnies hatching. Damn. That's not good in the least. Well, that's what long hours on a boring road is for, and a really big spiral note book, and pens... and napkins if need be.

This is a clip from a play called 'The Ten Doctors' preformed by the OnStage Group. Amusing dialog from our beloved Ninth Doctor...

I'm going down to the pub, and scowl a bit... )

Had some trouble with everything that was said, but there are some clear bits that are pretty fun.
I recommend watching it twice; after the second time it's easier to understand.

Title: Two for him, Three for her
Characters: Doctor/Rose
Theme: Longing, pain, angst, christmas
By: prChung

Note: Very short. Just a thought that occurred to me and thought best to just get it down and done.

Two for him, Three for her

It’s been two now. Two Christmas’s come and gone, without her. Threats faced, danger averted, the world saved, and all of it without her by his side. First was hardest, still so fresh a loss, a raw wound, super exposed and so very tender to the wrong touch. Another, more danger and death, loss and remembrance, and still so hard without her there to grab hold of and run.

-- * --

It hurt that first Christmas without him, although he was there, just different in appearance, there was so much loss inside her then. Now, here, a different place, a different life, but the same feelings still churning inside. The second Christmas was brightened with the sounds of a new baby. The coo and giggles of a new sister helped distract from the pain, and fill in a portion of the emptiness inside her. Now, another Christmas, and still the wondering, still the emptiness. Sometimes, when she walked alone, when she looked into the still and starry sky, it was so easy to imagine his hand right there, to take in hers and run…
